Do public-private partnerships in energy and renewable energy consumption matter for consumption-based carbon dioxide emissions in India?

چکیده
The present study explores the effect of renewable energy consumption and public-private partnership investment in on consumption-based carbon dioxide emissions for India from 1990Q1 2015Q4 whilst controlling technology innovation economic growth. employs Maki cointegration, Bayer-Hanck fully modified ordinary least squares, dynamic frequency-domain causality tests to explore these dynamics. outcomes reveal that (i) there is a long-run cointegration equation between its possible determinants; (ii) beneficial lowering emissions, makes positive contribution long-run; (iii) also significantly causes at different frequency levels India. recommends policymakers should apply series policies discourage use non-renewable raise share order reduce country. increase achieve cleaner production processes.

15 صفحه اولCausality among Carbon Emissions, Energy Consumption and Growth in India
This study attempts to investigate the long-run Granger causality relationship between energy consumption, carbon dioxide emission and economic growth in India over the period 1971-2007. The augmented Dickey Fuller test (ADF), Phillips-Perron test (PP) and KPSS test are used to test for Granger causality in cointegration models which take account of the stochastic properties of the variables. ...
متن کاملTransport Emissions and Energy Consumption Impacts of Private Capital Investment in Public Transport
Introducing private capital into the public transport system for its sustainable development has been increasing around the world. However, previous research ignores emissions and energy consumption impacts, which are important for private capital investment policy-making. To address this problem, the system dynamic (SD) approach was used to quantitatively analyze the cumulative effects of diff...
